About
The Monastery, part of AM Editions, is a London based furniture design studio founded by Anthony Michael and Kevin Walker. With a studio in Greenwich, The Monastery is firmly placed in the luxury market, targeting both industry professionals and discerning personal clients who seek a bespoke interiors package.
All pieces in the The Monastery Collection are handcrafted using natural materials – all carpentry, upholstery stitching and finishing is done by hand to the highest standards. Our cane pieces use only natural cane as opposed to the synthetic substitutes common in much of today’s furniture.
We also work closely with our clients and retailers to provide a personalised bespoke service from individual furniture pieces through to full space planning, together with many customisation options.
Sales
As all The Monastery pieces are handcrafted, the estimated lead time for an item is 8-12 weeks. All furniture is made to order, and the lead time begins when full or half payment is received.
Full payment is required for orders under £2,000. For orders over £2,000, an initial payment of 50% of the order value is required. The remaining 50% will be invoiced when the order is ready for despatch and must be settled in full before the order can be shipped.
Invoices will be issued by AM Editions Ltd. All Payments should be made to the same.
Shipping costs will vary depending on the number and type of items ordered but will be included in the formal quote. Smaller deliveries will be shipped via courier, larger deliveries by freight services.
All formal quotes will be honoured for one month from the date of issue.
Customisation
Some customisation is available for select pieces and is limited to finishes and fabrics. This must be presented and approved by The Monastery prior to orders being placed and may, in some cases, extend the lead time by 2-3 weeks.
A deposit of 50% must be received for any customised orders before production/lead time begins and orders will be shipped once the balance is paid in full.
Customised orders may not be cancelled and are final sale. Please contact us for customisation options and pricing.
Bespoke Orders
All bespoke item orders must be presented to and approved by The Monastery. Initial bespoke project approval takes between 7-10 business days. Lead times will be determined per project basis.
A deposit of 50% must be received before production/lead time begins. Orders will be shipped once the balance is paid in full.
Bespoke orders may not be cancelled and are final sale.
